Direct observation captures real behaviors in context – movement patterns, waiting times, interaction with spaces, decision-making at touchpoints, and the use of equipment or signage. It can be conducted in a structured way (using observation grids) or in a more exploratory format.
At QSP, data collection is supported by observation guides and recording frameworks and, when appropriate, integrated with other sources (e.g. short interviews or operational data), allowing observations to be translated into clear and actionable conclusions.
